Thinking about Christmas yet? Neither was I until I went to London last weekend and stumbled across Neal's Yard, the original and first Neal's Yard, both courtyard and shop, in Seven Dials.
I had forgotten how much I love these products, the care taken by the staff and the obvious love of what they are selling and above all...the iconic (and eco friendly) blue glass bottles.
Having spent a happy hour browsing, testing and buying many Christmas presents I wanted to share with you 3 reasons to head their way.
1 - Neal's Yard has been with us since 1981
That is a lot of experience and learning under their belt. Their aim then was to help us live healthier, happier lives naturally...nearly forty years later and we could all do with this.
A few key points to take away:
- They operate a carbon neutral company, protecting over a million square metres of endangered forest with the World Land Trust
- They never test on animals only on "willing humans"
- Their products only contain ethically sourced, natural and organic ingredients
- They have raised over £235,000 for bee-friendly charities
- Their products are made in an eco factory in the North Dorset Countryside
2 - The products are amazing
From face creams to cleansers, shampoos to hair masks, men's stuff, baby's stuff, air fresheners to supplements, soaps to essential oils and now in these Covid days the best version of hand sanitisers you could ever hope to use.
3 - A shopping experience to love
With over 52 shops in the U.K, I would heartily recommend heading into the nearest one to you. The pleasure in trying and then buying is second to none and the knowledge and experience of the staff helps with all those tricky questions.
However, if that is not possible then the online store is easy to navigate, clear and bright pictures guide you around with a good level of detail to help you choose.
In addition, they have a wonderful app to keep returning to again and again.
Finally, getting back to Christmas, you can even order a gift card or voucher for those tricky, hard to buy for relatives or friends...Christmas solved!
